Heading to one of my favorite cities for a “Day of Design” with one of my favorite clients reviewing color, trend and product…just a few of my favorite things!
Blessed to love what I do in life and thankful for another “Day of Design”!

Hosted by the IFDA NY, Safavieh and NYC&G, the Take A Seat Action held in NY, a design exhibition which featured up-cycled chairs creatively redesigned by area professionals was a night to remember. The event was held at the Safavieh showroom which hosted a fullhouse of industry professionals all bidding on these 26 creative pieces of art-inspired chairs, where all proceeds went to Habitit for Humanity NYC.
This diverse group of designers were made up of architects, builders, craftsman, furniture designers and various design professionals showing their support for Habitit for Humanity. The following designers took part in this successful event: Lani Adeoye, Michael Arguello, Carly Bassen, Allison Bassen, Jonathan Bressler, Bromley Caldari Architects, Cliff Young Intern Team, Gregory Allan Cramer, Iris Danker, Christopher Hyland, Vanessa Deleon, Nancy Fire, Patricia Fox, Mari O’Connor, Stacy Garcia, Jan Girard, Barry Goralnick, Lorraine Gordon, John Locke, Jennifer Mack, Lindsey Smith, Karim Rashid, Esther…

HAPPINESS……is when your favorite store in the universe is a client and that client printed fabric in your studio and now the fabric we printed is in their beautiful display windows on Broadway in NYC! Love ABC Carpet and Home💕💚.

One of my all time favorite quotes…makes me stop, think and slow down to remember what really matters! L.I.F.E.

If your from the northeast this image should give you hope that “spring” is officially here. Snow has melted, spring grass is sprouting, birds are out in full force and it’s not freezing!
I guess it’s the winters past that make us appreciate these special moments between the segway of seasons.
For all of us creative types I feel that are senses are highlighted around these times as we see the beauty in the smallest of changes and appreciate them in a more memorable way.
For me it’s always renewal, gratitude and anticipation of what’s to come. A certain excitement starts to build in me with the possibilities of flowers blooming, veggies growing, birds returning and smiles on faces that seem a bit more sincere!
I often wonder if I lived in a place where the seasons did not change how I would miss these segways of seasons!

After capturing this image I could only imagine that I was living in a mid-evil village back in time or on a film set…only to come to terms with my reality of being on the corner or 97th and Amsterdam in NYC!
Just love this city…they say it’s “The City That Never Sleeps” and I truly know why. It’s not just about the “Action” in places like Times Square or the busy streets of NYC…its about that magical moment when day turns into night and the city takes on a new form of energy…its like a symphony of lights between the sky and the city. My favorite time of day in my favorite city to go for a “Night Walk in Central Park”.

Last week I attended the HSN Awards Gala with HGTV in Saint Petersburg Florida and was captivated by this magical evening! The event is held to honor some of HSN’s clients, or should I say family…because the feeling of this “Enchanted Evening” was truly like one big family! The warmth of the evening in celebrating some of HSN’s greats was something like the Academy Awards of HSN. It was one of those parties that everyone including the host and hostess were having “A Ball”, no pun intended! The theme which emulated the sensibility of the new Disney Movie, Cinderella was, how should I say, spectacular!
In this day of retail sales weather it be brick and mortar, on-line, catolog or television it’s nice to see cohesiveness when it comes to retail partners and the respect each has for one another!
Kudos to Mindy Grossman and Bill Brand for creating this “Enchanted Evening”, it was truly enjoyable!
