Stays In Vegas…The IRE Show (International Roofing Expo) was held March 1-3 2017 at the Mandalay Convention Center focusing on the latest trends, advances in technology and the best practices for business growth in the roofing industry.

Honored to give a Trend Session on Global Greats and meet some of GAF’s residential and commercial contractors while talking about the GAF On-Line Style Guide @gaf.com/styleguide We talked about the relationship between the roof as an exterior element that reflects the sensibility of interior elements in the home…take Terra, our global lifestyle that emulates a more curated and collected lifestyle gathering interior items from your travels while mixing and matching them in your home. Glenwood Golden Prairie and Timberline HD Barkwood are both excellent examples that are part of our Terra Trend!

Awesome having Guy Fieri join us from the Food Network and cook his signature burger at the GAF evening party…by the pool at Mandalay Bay!

It’s not your grandfather’s roof any more as GAF has so many updated colors, textures and shapes that can redefine your roofing style!

Remember your roof really sets the trend for the rest of your home so why not enjoy the many roofing possibilities that GAF has to offer…visit us @gaf.com/styleguide

Organic Influence Overseas

We continue to see organic icons in many product categories influencing home decor through color, material and pattern.

Bringing “The Outdoors, Indoors” is not just a trend these days, it’s a lifestyle. The connection to nature has never been stronger for most people, especially in times of such uncertainty throughout the world.

Traveling through Paris, London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt last week confirmed that in the coming year we will continue to see more products relating to and influenced by nature.

Hey Atlanta…HGTV is in the house…

Thanks Atlanta for coming out for our HGTV night of interior trends at the beautiful Ferguson Showroom in Buckhead Thursday night…followed by a fashion update on personal style trends with Robanne Schuman and the stylish ladies from Cucinelli.

This season, like many prior, I had the pleasure of developing lifestyle trends for HGTV HOME, the product based branded division for HGTV. Working with companies like Bassett Furniture (custom upholstered furniture and accent case goods) Sherwin-Williams (Paint and Wallpaper) and Agricola (Plants and Flowers) I help curate a line of products that are affordable and stylish for today’s consumer!

Last night at the Ferguson Showroom we had a chance to talk trends, discuss lifestyle and enjoy great conversation regarding “all things home”. Thanks to the HGTV Atlanta based Ad Sales Team for inviting me to this spectacular event!
So nice meeting and greeting so many talented designers and patrons in the industry…while viewing the most current products for bath, kitchen and lighting!

The Ferguson Showroom is a 14,000 square foot loft filled with beautiful products for bath, kitchen and lighting. This luxurious home improvement gallery is located at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta at 3035 Peachtree Road.

Creative Color, Medellin Colombia

A Designer’s Paradise….vibrant colors fill the streets and artisan shops of Medellin Columbia-also known as the City of Eternal Spring because of its moderate temperatures all year round. Situated in the Aubbrua Valley and surrounded by green mountains, this progressive Latin American city is quickly becoming an international cultural destination.

The food scene is fantastic with both local and international flavor. Carmen, one of my foodie favorites offers elaborate meals created by husband and wife team Carmen Angel and Rob Pevitts who trained at Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco.

A must see on the art scene is the Museo de Arte Moderno, this industrial chic space houses exhibitions that change every quarter. On the premises you should visit their two museum stores that showcase local artisan products that are affordable and curated beautifully!

The Art Hotel, a boutique hotel situated in the El Poblado area, is a perfect place to rest and relax while enjoying your stay in Medellin, Colombia!

New meaning to “wearing many hats”!

Ode to Artisans with these indigenous Colombian hats found at Museo de Arte Moderno.

Music is part of everyday culture.

Ode to Atisians with traditional Colombian patterns on ceramic found at Museo de Arte Moderno.

Vibrant stripe handwoven hammocks.

Ombre Artisan Baskets
