Sharing some of our holiday favorites from Design Works International created for Dollar Tree Stores…we love collaborating with our creative clients🌲
Holiday Favorites…
Meet Weston, our newest addition to the Kelly Ripa Home Bedding Collection at Macy’s. We love celebrating artisan blues with tones of indigo, navy, gray and rose! It’s all about pattern play with our mix of shibori and watercolor making our paisley medallion updated and fresh with added accents of embroidery and appliquĂ©.
Thanks Atlanta for coming out for our HGTV night of interior trends at the beautiful Ferguson Showroom in Buckhead Thursday night…followed by a fashion update on personal style trends with Robanne Schuman and the stylish ladies from Cucinelli.
This season, like many prior, I had the pleasure of developing lifestyle trends for HGTV HOME, the product based branded division for HGTV. Working with companies like Bassett Furniture (custom upholstered furniture and accent case goods) Sherwin-Williams (Paint and Wallpaper) and Agricola (Plants and Flowers) I help curate a line of products that are affordable and stylish for today’s consumer!
Last night at the Ferguson Showroom we had a chance to talk trends, discuss lifestyle and enjoy great conversation regarding “all things home”. Thanks to the HGTV Atlanta based Ad Sales Team for inviting me to this spectacular event!
So nice meeting and greeting so many talented designers and patrons in the industry…while viewing the most current products for bath, kitchen and lighting!
The Ferguson Showroom is a 14,000 square foot loft filled with beautiful products for bath, kitchen and lighting. This luxurious home improvement gallery is located at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta at 3035 Peachtree Road.
Sharing some seasonal favorite finds with Harvest hot color highlights! Truly some global greats from 2016….

We have been talking about global influences in fashion and in home decor for the past decade but this season global is more than an influence, it’s a lifestyle that is melding the borders of countries.
No longer are we singling out a certain cultures style or influence, we are celebrating all cultures as a lifestyle.
In prints we are combining color palettes that are unexpected and celebrating the craftsmanship of many countries by embellishing  with embroidered and appliquéd accents.
In fashion we are seeing a melange of fabrics working together on one garment with updated global color palettes.
In home decor, texture is important either printed or embellished with 3-D fabrics.
It’s time we celebrate these global greats as a new way of mixing craft, style and art both in fashion and in the home.

So inspired by the colors of Paris through architecture and natural lighting. It truly is a painters paradise where organic color takes center stage.

Thankful for this rainy Saturday so I can catch up on life….seems like the past 28 years of growing Design Works International, our NYC based design studio, has been a non-stop labor of love…and on Monday August 1st we are officially in our new location at 494 8th Ave. (entrance on 35th street on the 12th floor)…phone number remains the 212-594-0777.
This labor of love is proud to acknowledge our amazing team of sales consultants, textile and graphic designers, interior specialists as well as trend, color and fabric liaisons.

Our new location is a state of the art “play house” for us and we could not be happier in our new home…even though it will take us a few weeks to finish the design details within the studio!
When we started out 28 years ago our focus was mostly in the fashion arena and today we are truly a lifestyle studio working with top brands, retailers and celebrities in both the fashion and home sectors.

Most recently I have collaborated with CAA and Beanstalk on the Kelly Ripa Home Collection Exclusively at Macy’s in bedding, area rugs and furniture (upholstery and wood) with a collection of over the counter fabrics at JoAnn Stores.

Collaborating with the talented HGTV HOME team in Knoxville TN we created a licensed line of home decor products which we are thankful for winning the LIMA award for best corporate licensed program in 2015 and best paint program in 2016.

Everyday Design Works International has the design pleasure of working with companies like Kimberly Clark, GAF, HGTV, Kids 11 and Dollar Tree/Family Dollar on new design strategies and trend lifestyle updates!

I was probably the biggest skeptic when I heard two years ago that my favorite overseas show was heading to Miami for its debut in America. It’s been two years now, I have attended both shows, walked all aisles, met new designers, found innovative products and love chillin’ in Maimi…so I guess I am no longer a skeptic and more of a fan!
Happy to share some global greats from this past Maison Objet show which took place in Miami May 10-13.
