Most trade shows feel endless and overwhelming but I can promise there is No Chaos here…just color and creativity.

So nice to see the resurgence in detail at The Kitchen and Bath Show (KBIS) in products like tile, flooring and in overall design aesthetic.
Wow…what a busy week at Heimtexil in Frankfurt Germany! I love when I find products that still have that connection to art and illustration…check out these children’s graphics on bedding. The color…LOVE…the technique…Love…the creativity…Love!
No chaos here, just refreshing product that looks updated and fresh!

Not really “Feeling the Blues” but “Seeing the Blues” at Heimtextil in Frankfurt this week. Indigo, navy, teal and tones of are prevalent throughout the product halls. On my way to the press office at Heimtex in Frankfurt this morning I stumbled upon these vintage typography posters and could not resist sharing them! As a designer I just love finding these treasures that make me stop and think about design, color and creativity…no chaos here! My favorite is on the bottom left because the message is like a visual puzzle. Let me know which is your favorite and why.
Me again…posting from Frankfurt and had to share my “Frankfurt Trend Find”…who knew that Acid Yellow would be trending in this small village outside of downtown Frankfurt. I love when I explore places off the beaten track and stumble upon a trend find like this..so good that I am updating my KBIS trend presentation next week for my HGTV 2015 Trends in Las Vegas and updating my “Acid Yellow” slide with this very groovy trend-right yellow house. Had to update you on the “Color” part of my Chaos and Creativity! More to follow as Heimtextil opens today…more trend ahead!
Trending today products that are NOT perfect in form but are perfect in function. I find it so refreshing when I see products at retail that are handmade or at least make you feel that they are. They still perform perfectly as the product that they are but have more character and style…and these days we love anything that has character and style!
